Subsequently, positive news continued to emerge at the national level: In September, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration issued the "Special Action Plan for Large-Scale Construction of New Energy Storage," setting a target of 180 GW of installed capacity by 2027. Shortly thereafter, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced at the United Nations Climate Change Summit that China's total installed wind and solar capacity would more than six times its 2020 level by 2035, aiming to reach 3,600 GW. This series of goals, both in the near and long term, unlocks vast potential in the energy storage market.

Roughly speaking, in September alone, Chinese companies secured over 27GWh of overseas energy storage orders.
